"I will follow you into the dark" - Death Cab For Cutie
Will and Michelle were just a wonderful couple. They were unfortunately the victim of losing their wedding photographer just a month before the wedding date. They found me through a mutual friend and the rest is history! I went over to their house for a interview and the moment I met them, I knew that they were going to be a delight to shoot.
The wedding was at a beautiful location in Bouder, Co. It was during the fall season so the trees and leaves were turning orange, red and yellow. You couldn't ask for a better time for a wedding in the mountains. My second shooter and I arrived to the venue a little bit earlier so that we could capture photos of the location and different details that we wouldn't have been able to get otherwise.
Once when Michelle arrived on scene, I saw just how calm she was on her wedding day. I have never seen a bride more relaxed and level headed than Michelle! I was so amazed. She just went with the flow and enjoyed her wedding day rather than stressing about it and freaking out like most brides do.
The ceremony started and I have to say that it was absolutely beautiful. As will has a Jewish background they decided to add some elements of the Jewish tradition into their ceremony. It was complete with drinking of the wine and even the stomping on the glass right before the exit.
The reception was so much fun! The food was served, toasts were given and then the dancing broke out. It was a celebration of love.
